Silicon Labs WF111 Wi-Fi Module
The WF111 is a fully integrated single 2.4GHz band 802.11 b/g/n module designed for portable and battery-powered applications that need Wi-Fi connectivity. The WF111 integrates an IEEE 802.11 b/g/n radio, antenna, and SDIO host interface. It provides a low cost and simple Wi-Fi solution for devices that run an operating system and a TCP/IP stack on-board, but still offers the benefits of a module – small form factor, certifications, and easy integration. The WF111 has hardware support for Wi-Fi encryption protocols.
Project QuickStart Kit Option
Ka-Ro electronics and Timesys have created a new Project QuickStart Kit designed to introduce Yocto-based Linux development on the new Ka-Ro TX6UL Computer-on-Module (COM), based on the NXP i.MX 6Ultralite processor. The kit integrates hardware, software and private online training to accelerate product development while reducing the risks of project delays.
In the Timesys online training, developers learn how to use open source Linux and Yocto-based tools to build, deploy and develop on the Ka-Ro TX6UL module. After training, developers will have a complete Yocto local build they can use to start developing their new product. In addition the training will show to create a secure connected product by implementing both network and device security.
